Domaine aux Moines is a family-owned estate in Savennières in the Loire Valley, founded in 1981 by Monique Laroche and now owned and run by her daughter, Tessa Laroche, who also makes the wines. This second-generation, women-led domaine focuses on Chenin Blanc and follows a sustainable, biodiverse approach in the vineyards. Certified organic since 2011 and practicing biodynamics since 2017, it emphasizes low yields and hand-harvested fruit. In the cellar, Tessa Laroche works with indigenous yeasts and uses both tank and oak ageing to shape the wines.
