Domaine Daniel Bouland is a small, family-owned and operated domaine in Morgon, Beaujolais, where Daniel Bouland works his own old Gamay vineyards by hand. The domaine’s parcels include Morgon’s Douby, Côte de Py and Delys, as well as holdings in Chiroubles and Côte de Brouilly; some goblet-trained vines date to 1926. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with natural yeasts, often as whole bunches, with twice-daily pump-overs. Bouland ages the wines in concrete vessels and old foudres, bottling without filtration. His traditional, hands-on approach produces classic Gamay wines designed for long-term aging, alongside a small Chardonnay parcel for Beaujolais Blanc.
