Château Grand Mayne is a Grand Cru Classé estate in Saint-Émilion, owned and run by the third-generation Nony family, with Marie-Françoise Nony overseeing operations alongside Jean-Antoine and Damien Nony. The property has deep roots, with a late-16th-century manor and a reputation long established in Saint-Émilion. Its single, contiguous vineyard lies on clay-limestone slopes and foothill soils of clay and old sand on clay, and the estate’s stated philosophy is to let the wine reflect its terroir and origins. Winemaking, led by technical director Pierre-Yves Petit, emphasizes plot-by-plot work, hand harvesting, double sorting, separate vinification in wood and stainless steel vats, and barrel ageing. The wines are noted for aging potential while becoming more approachable in youth.
