Château de Beaupré is a historic family-owned estate in Saint-Cannat, just outside Aix-en-Provence, with the Double family at its helm since 1855. Today, Phanette Double—an agricultural engineer and oenologist—leads the estate and its winemaking, continuing a six-generation family history. She converted the vineyards to certified organic farming in 2013, with an approach centred on biodiversity, agroforestry, natural cover crops and working with nature. Set among wooded hills, mature trees and springs, the estate produces Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence reds, whites and rosés: age-worthy, fruit-driven reds, deep and delicate whites, and generous, characterful rosés. Tastings and guided visits offer insight into the vineyards, cellar and family heritage.
