Château d'Épiré is a historic family estate in Savennières, Loire Valley, held by the Bizard family since the 17th century and now led by fifth-generation Paul Bizard, who succeeded his father Luc in 2018. The domaine is centered on Chenin Blanc, grown on the appellation’s rocky soils of sandstone, schist, blue slate and phtanite, with all plots close to the cellar. Certified Haute Valeur Environnementale and farmed organically since 2022, with organic certification from the 2025 vintage, the estate uses cover crops, hedges, beehives, hand harvesting and manual pruning. Whites are gently pressed, moved by gravity in the historic 12th-century church cellar, and made without malolactic fermentation, emphasizing terroir and precision.
