Founded in 2004 by Gavino Sanna in Sant’Anna Arresi, Cantina Mesa is a Sardinian estate rooted in the Sulcis landscape and focused on expressing the island’s identity through Carignano and Vermentino. Its vineyards, near the sea on sandy, calcareous and clay soils, benefit from saline breezes and Mediterranean light, helping shape wines with freshness, minerality and a briny edge. The estate farms without herbicides, pesticides or fungicides, with notes also citing organic fertilizers, mechanical under-vine work and water-saving practices. Winemaking is led by Stefano Cova, with Michele Flore and founder Gavino Sanna also involved, in a style centered on clean, authentic, terroir-driven wines. Since 2017, Cantina Mesa has been part of the Santa Margherita Wine Group.
