Cantalapiedra Viticultores is a family-owned estate in Castilla y León, with high-altitude vineyards in La Seca (Rueda) and Benialbo (Toro) on limestone-rich clay, sandy-clay, marl, and limestone soils. Founded in 1949 by Heliodoro Cantalapiedra, it is now led by third-generation Manuel Cantalapiedra, with Isaac Cantalapiedra overseeing viticulture. The vineyards are certified organic and farmed with biodynamic practices, with hand-harvested fruit. In the cellar, the approach is low-intervention: wild-yeast fermentations, minimal temperature control, very low sulfur, and no fining or filtration. The style reflects an artisanal, non-interventionist philosophy rooted in family continuity and careful vineyard work.
