Nero d'Avola
An island-wide invitation to Sicily’s native grapes and many vineyard landscapes.
Citrus, orchard fruit and herbs with a dry, textured finish.
Citrus, pear and flowers with a fresh, gently rounded palate.
Dark cherry, plum and spice, from bright and supple to richer, oak-aged wines.
Flowers and red berries with lively fruit and gentle tannins.
Nero d’Avola, Frappato and Nerello Mascalese.
Berry fruit and floral detail with a refreshing finish; blends vary.
Grillo, Catarratto and Chardonnay.
Citrus and orchard fruit lifted by bubbles. Grape mix and sweetness vary.
Sicilia DOC brings together a broad range of places and wine styles. Grillo, Catarratto and Nero d’Avola are rewarding starting points. More specific local DOCs and vineyard names can help narrow the landscape further.
