Montepulciano leads; Sangiovese is a permitted optional partner.
Dark cherry, plum and herbal spice with a dry palate and supporting tannins.
Rosso Cònero DOC centres on Montepulciano, with Sangiovese permitted as a partner. It is distinct from Cònero DOCG, whose separate requirements offer another aged-wine route through the same wider landscape. The shared geographical name does not make the two labels interchangeable. Follow the complete denomination, vintage and producer’s methods to explore the balance between dark fruit, freshness and tannic structure.
