About Overberg

Sauvignon Blanc

White

Citrus, green fruit and herbal lift with a refreshing dry finish.

Chardonnay

White

Citrus and stone fruit, with toast and a richer texture in barrel-aged wines.

Pinot Noir

Red

Red cherry, berries and subtle savoury notes, usually with fine tannins.

Where it grows: Across the Overberg inland from the Cape South Coast, southeast of Cape Town.

Overberg contains different vineyard settings and should not be reduced to one grape or climate. More specific places such as Theewater help explain individual bottles; Elgin is now a district in its own right.
