The Itria Valley’s wider wine expression, with local whites and room for reds and rosato.
Verdeca, Bianco di Alessano.
Citrus, apple and flowers with a fresh, dry finish.
Cherry, plum and warm spice with a rounded, savoury palate.
Negroamaro.
Red berries and floral detail with a refreshing finish.
Valle d’Itria IGT spans a broader grape and colour range than the local white-wine DOCs of Locorotondo and Martina Franca. Verdeca and Bianco di Alessano are useful white introductions; named red varieties offer another perspective.
