Albana
Romagna Albana reveals a remarkably versatile local white grape, from dry, textured table wines to rich sweet passito.
Orchard fruit, citrus and herbal notes with a dry palate and substantial texture.
Dried apricot, citrus peel and honeyed fruit with concentrated sweetness and balancing acidity.
Albana is the grape at the heart of this DOCG. Dry Secco wines offer freshness and substance, while sweeter categories and passito take a different direction. Skin contact is also a producer choice in some dry examples, rather than a requirement for all Albana. The grape name alone therefore does not establish sweetness, colour depth or winemaking method.
