About Nierstein

Nierstein dry Riesling

White

Citrus, peach and savoury spice with a dry, fresh or more generous texture.

Roter Hang single-site Riesling

White

Ripe citrus and stone fruit with layered texture and a long, structured finish.

Where it grows: Around Nierstein on the western bank of the Rhine, south of Mainz in Rheinhessen.
Grapes: Riesling.

The Roter Hang is associated with red-weathered sedimentary soils along the Rhine between Nierstein and Nackenheim. Sites such as Pettenthal make the origin more precise. Riesling is a natural introduction, from dry village wines to more concentrated vineyard bottlings. A named site offers a geographic clue, not a promise that every bottle tastes alike.
