Nierstein Riesling leads to the Roter Hang’s dramatic Rhine-facing vineyard slopes.
Citrus, peach and savoury spice with a dry, fresh or more generous texture.
Ripe citrus and stone fruit with layered texture and a long, structured finish.
The Roter Hang is associated with red-weathered sedimentary soils along the Rhine between Nierstein and Nackenheim. Sites such as Pettenthal make the origin more precise. Riesling is a natural introduction, from dry village wines to more concentrated vineyard bottlings. A named site offers a geographic clue, not a promise that every bottle tastes alike.
