South Islands is a sub-appellation of Lake Erie North Shore, recognised in 2015. Vineyards are on Pelee Island, where surrounding water extends the growing season. Riesling offers a fresh or late-harvest white route, while Tempranillo is an unusual local red discovery. A South Islands label identifies grape origin; the winery’s mainland tasting room does not change that origin.
