About King Valley

Prosecco

Sparkling · White

Glera.

Fresh apple and pear with light, lively bubbles. These Australian wines are distinct from the Italian appellations.

Pinot Grigio

White

Pinot Grigio is the Italian name for Pinot Gris.

Pear and citrus in a fresh, dry style.

Italian-inspired reds

Red

Sangiovese and Nebbiolo are made as separate varietal wines; the label identifies the grape.

Sangiovese offers cherry and herbs; Nebbiolo brings floral aromas and firmer tannins. Look at the variety on the bottle.

Where it grows: Along the King River, south of Wangaratta towards the higher Whitlands vineyards.

Italian migrant growers helped shape the region’s varietal diversity. Warm valley sites and cooler uplands make room for both fresh whites and savoury reds.
