Garnacha
Calatayud explores Garnacha through steep, often high vineyards in Aragón’s inland hills.
Grenache.
Expressive berry fruit and spice, with freshness and tannin shaped by altitude, harvest and extraction; wood ageing varies.
Garnacha is central to Calatayud’s identity, with high and sloping vineyards providing a different setting from the region’s lower plains. Older vines are an important resource, although vine age and elevation vary by bottle. The denomination is an origin rather than a guarantee of heavy oak or powerful extraction. Compare vineyard detail and the producer’s approach to find a fresher red or a more concentrated expression.
