Southeastern Sicily in red and pink, with Nero d’Avola, Frappato and Perricone.
Nero d’Avola.
Dark cherry, plum and savoury spice, from supple to more concentrated wines.
Flowers, red berries and a bright, delicate tannin structure.
Perricone.
Dark berries and herbal spice with a firmer, savoury finish.
Frappato, Nero d’Avola and Perricone.
Red berries and flowers with a fresh, gently textured palate; the blend varies.
Eloro takes its name from an ancient settlement near the coast. Pachino identifies a red-wine subzone; Perricone may appear as Pignatello, and Frappato offers a lighter, fragrant route into the DOC.
