Oppenheim’s Rhine terraces offer generous Riesling and a rich vineyard heritage above the old town.
Citrus, orchard fruit and fresh acidity with a dry, rounded, savoury palate.
Peach, apricot and citrus with noticeable sweetness balanced by lively acidity.
Oppenheim’s vineyard slopes rise behind the town, with named sites such as Sackträger providing specific origins. Riesling is a useful first exploration. Its dry and sweeter expressions are distinguished by label wording rather than the town name; Kabinett or Spätlese alone does not guarantee a sweet wine outside a particular producer’s classification.
