Red cherry, berries and savoury spice with freshness and finely textured tannins.
Lime, apple and floral notes with a bright, focused palate; sweetness varies.
Coal River Valley is a local growing-area name within the registered Tasmania GI. Its relatively sheltered southern setting contains varied alluvial and hillside vineyard sites. Pooley’s vineyards document Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling, giving concrete introductions to the area. These grapes can take different directions with vintage and cellar choices. Follow the vineyard name for a closer view, while recognising that the local area is not a separately registered Australian GI.
