The middle Loire’s bottle-fermented bubbles, in white and rosé.
Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc.
Apple, citrus and white flowers with fine bubbles; lees ageing can add almond and bread-like notes.
Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and Grolleau.
Berry aromas, fine bubbles and a fresh finish, with sweetness indicated on the label.
Chenin often gives the white wines their fresh backbone. A second fermentation in the bottle and time on the lees add texture and complexity.
