Monbazillac offers one of the Dordogne’s great sweet-wine discoveries, with rich white wines balanced by freshness.
Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle.
Apricot, citrus peel and honeyed fruit with rich sweetness and a fresh finish.
Monbazillac AOP is a sweet white-wine origin, with Sémillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle central to its identity. Hand selection of overripe grapes and the role of noble rot help shape the wines, although individual harvests and blends vary. It is distinct from Bergerac Sec and from dry red wines grown nearby under other names. Explore the producer and vintage to find the balance between ripe fruit, honeyed complexity and acidity.
