Sangiovese.
Sour cherry, dried flowers and a firm, savoury finish. Young bottles can feel tightly wound; mature examples gain earthy complexity.
Brunello is made entirely from Sangiovese. Time in the cellar can turn its firm cherry fruit into layers of dried herbs, leather and woodland spice.
