Sangiovese
Sangiovese from Montepulciano, with red fruit, fine tannins and a savoury heart.
Sangiovese, locally Prugnolo Gentile, leads; Canaiolo is one possible blending partner.
Cherry, plum and floral notes, with a firm, polished texture. Riserva and Pieve bottlings invite slower exploration.
The grape is Sangiovese, locally called Prugnolo Gentile, rather than the Montepulciano grape. Pieve bottlings highlight named parts of the local landscape.
