Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro
Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro brings a deeper-coloured, more tannic red expression to the Modena hills.
Dark cherry, blackberry and violet with gentle bubbles and clear tannic grip; sweetness varies.
Dark berries, cherry and floral notes with persistent bubbles; sweetness varies.
Grasparossa is the leading Lambrusco grape of this DOC, with other permitted contributions possible. Red and rosé wines, gentle frizzante and sparkling forms have their respective identities. Compared with Sorbara, the familiar red expression often has more colour and tannic presence, though producer and sweetness still matter. Look for Secco when seeking a dry direction and read the exact pressure category for the wine’s bubbles.
