Chalkidiki offers a peninsula wine landscape where Greek grapes meet a strong maritime influence.
Floral and ripe white-fruit aromas with a fresh, rounded palate.
Limnio, Cabernet Sauvignon.
Berry fruit and herbal complexity, with structure depending on the blend and ageing.
Chalkidiki, also spelled Halkidiki, includes several wine origins rather than one uniform coastal style. PGI Halkidiki is distinct from the more specific Slopes of Meliton PDO, Sithonia PGI and Mount Athos PGI. Malagousia and Assyrtiko provide white-wine discoveries, while Limnio and international red grapes add contrast. The full designation gives a more precise origin than the peninsula name alone.
