Trebbiano
Trebbiano d’Abruzzo offers a broad white-wine discovery, from fresh orchard fruit to more layered, patiently developed bottles.
Trebbiano Abruzzese and/or Trebbiano Toscano, with other permitted white grapes.
Apple, pear and citrus with a gently rounded palate; dry examples finish fresh and savoury.
Trebbiano d’Abruzzo DOC is a protected wine origin rather than a guarantee of one identical Trebbiano variety. Its specification permits Trebbiano Abruzzese and Trebbiano Toscano, with other authorised white grapes in a smaller role. Producers can make brisk young wines or more textured expressions shaped by lees, vessels and time. Dry examples are a natural starting point, although the denomination also allows a little residual sweetness. Follow the individual bottle’s style description when choosing.
