Seneca Lake explores a distinct Finger Lakes origin with expressive Riesling and a growing range of reds.
Citrus, orchard fruit and bright acidity, with sweetness varying by bottling.
Fresh berries and herbs with moderate tannins and a savoury finish.
Seneca Lake is its own AVA within the wider Finger Lakes region. Its deep lake, varied shores and changing exposures provide different vineyard settings rather than one uniform terroir. Riesling is a natural starting point, while Cabernet Franc offers a red-wine comparison. The lake name narrows the wine’s origin without prescribing a grape, oak regime or sweetness.
