Lambrusco di Sorbara leads, with permitted supporting Lambrusco grapes.
Redcurrant, strawberry and violet with bright acidity and gentle bubbles; sweetness varies.
Lambrusco di Sorbara.
Red berries and flowers with lively acidity, light grip and a gentle prickle; sweetness varies.
Lambrusco di Sorbara is both a grape and the name of this DOC. Its red and rosé wines have their own local identity, with Salamino permitted in the blend. Gentle frizzante and fuller sparkling expressions differ in pressure and production, while sweetness ranges by named style. A pale colour does not imply a white grape or a sweet wine. Read the bottle’s colour, bubbles and sweetness together.
