Lambrusco di Sorbara is both a grape and the name of this DOC. Its red and rosé wines have their own local identity, with Salamino permitted in the blend. Gentle frizzante and fuller sparkling expressions differ in pressure and production, while sweetness ranges by named style. A pale colour does not imply a white grape or a sweet wine.
