Lacrima di Morro d’Alba offers an unusually fragrant Marche red, with floral perfume and a distinctive local grape identity.
Lacrima.
Rose, violet and red berries with a dry palate, freshness and gentle tannic grip.
Lacrima is the grape behind this red-wine denomination; Morro d’Alba is in Marche, distinct from the town of Alba in Piedmont. The origin is commonly written Lacrima di Morro d’Alba, with its permitted shorter name also used. The wine’s floral character does not automatically mean it is sweet: still dry and passito types should be distinguished through the label.
