Getariako Txakolina introduces Gipuzkoa’s bright txakoli whites and the region’s Hondarrabi grape traditions.
Hondarrabi Zuri.
A bright white expression with citrus and orchard-fruit notes; some bottles have a gentle spritz, with texture varying by producer.
Getariako Txakolina is a protected origin, not simply a serving style. Hondarrabi Zuri leads the white-wine story, while Hondarrabi Beltza brings a red-grape dimension. Many familiar whites are young and gently spritzy, but that light retained gas does not make every bottle sparkling wine. Read the full wine type and producer’s serving advice rather than assuming every txakoli should be poured from a height.
