Colli Cimini opens the northern Lazio hills to a broad range of wine styles.
Approved Lazio white varieties; Malvasia del Lazio and Bellone are examples rather than a required blend.
White blends and named varieties, also frizzante, passito and late-harvest types.
Approved Lazio red varieties; Sangiovese and Merlot are examples rather than a required blend.
Red blends or named varieties; rosato, frizzante and novello are also specified.
Colli Cimini IGT offers white, red and rosé wines, with additional types including white passito and late-harvest expressions. The name follows a defined production area rather than every use of the Cimini landscape. It is separate from nearby DOCs such as Vignanello. Read the grape and wine type to distinguish fresh bottles from more concentrated expressions.
