Grapes
Sannio offers a broad view of inland Campania, with local white grapes and reds from the vineyards of Benevento.
Cherry, dark berries and spice with freshness and a dry, structured finish.
Apple, pear and herbal notes with a rounded, dry palate.
Sannio DOC includes several wine types and grape-specific expressions. Aglianico and Piedirosso give red-wine routes, while Coda di Volpe, Fiano and Greco add white alternatives. Falanghina del Sannio is a separate DOC and should be read under its own name. The broad Sannio identity is useful for discovery, while a subzone, grape and producer’s vineyard information make an individual bottle more specific.
