Riverina combines generous table wines with a distinctive tradition of sweet botrytis Semillon.
A rounded white with ripe fruit and texture that varies with oak handling.
A rich, sweet dessert wine with concentrated fruit and balancing acidity.
Sunny, dry growing seasons and irrigation underpin wine growing on the Riverina plains. Chardonnay, Shiraz, Semillon and Cabernet Sauvignon all feature. Later in the season, suitable humidity can encourage noble rot in selected Semillon grapes, concentrating sweetness and acidity. That dessert-wine tradition sits alongside ordinary dry whites and reds; neither the grape nor the region alone tells you a bottle’s sweetness.
