Zorzal is a family-owned boutique winery founded in 2007 by the Michelini brothers with Canadian investors in Gualtallary, Uco Valley, Mendoza. Juan Pablo Michelini leads winemaking, with Gerardo Michelini also involved. The vineyards sit at around 1,300 meters on sandy, stony, limestone-rich soils with notable slope. Farming follows organic practices, with hand harvesting and some wines made from young vines. In the cellar, Zorzal focuses on minimal-intervention methods, using indigenous yeasts, early harvesting, and no oak. The result is a clean, site-driven style shaped by high-altitude fruit and chalky soils.
