Switchback Ridge

United States

Switchback Ridge is a family-owned Napa Valley winery founded in 1999 by Kelly Peterson, continuing a family farming and grape-growing legacy dating back more than a century. Its wines are handcrafted from estate-grown fruit sourced exclusively from the Peterson Family Vineyard in Calistoga, where former plum orchards were converted to vines in the 1990s. The estate includes a 60-plus-year-old block of dry-farmed Petite Sirah, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Winemaking is associated with both Thomas Rivers-Brown, known for a minimalist approach, and Bob Foley in the provided notes. Tastings are available by appointment through the St. Helena tasting-room collective, Royal We Wines.
