Founded in 1994, Wither Hills is a family-owned Marlborough winery developed by John and Brent Marris, with winemaking led by Matt Large alongside Andrew Petrie and Patricia Miranda-Taylor. Working with vineyards in the Wairau Valley, Rarangi and other New Zealand sites, it produces fruit-forward, balanced wines designed to express their place, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as well as single-vineyard bottlings. Sustainability is central to the estate, which holds Certified Sustainable Winegrowing NZ, B Corp, ISO 14001 and Toitū Net Carbon Zero credentials. Its initiatives include Rarangi wetland restoration, planting more than 20,000 native seedlings, composting grape marc and reusing wastewater for irrigation.
