Family-owned Cederberg Private Cellar is based on the Dwarsrivier farm in South Africa’s Cederberg mountains, where vineyards sit at approximately 1,063 metres above sea level. Its 60 hectares of vines are virus-free and sustainably farmed, with irrigation from natural mountain springs. The estate’s remote, high-altitude setting provides cool mountain conditions, while the Ghost Corner site is distinguished by lime-rich soils with slate and gravel. Winemaker David Nieuwoudt leads production across the Cederberg, Ghost Corner, Five Generations and Longavi ranges. The wines are vegan-labelled, and the estate places strong emphasis on preserving the surrounding untouched mountain landscape.
