Producer

Roberto Henriquez

Chile

Roberto Henriquez is an independent, privately owned producer in Chile’s Southern Region, working in the Itata and Bío-Bío valleys with ancient ungrafted vines, including very old País as well as Sémillon, Muscat of Alexandria, Chasselas, and Torontés. Founded in 2015, the winery is owned, farmed, and run by Henriquez himself under long-term fermage agreements, with Henriquez also serving as sole winemaker. The vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic, with dry farming, no herbicides, pesticides, or irrigation, plus composting, bio-fertilizers, water conservation, and the use of farming animals. In the cellar, he follows a natural, minimal-intervention approach using wooden fermenters, gravity-flow handling, old Rauli wood, and often low-sulfur, unfined, unfiltered winemaking.
