Perkins Harter is a boutique Oregon producer founded in 2018 by Shelby Perkins and Peter Harter. Based in the Willamette Valley, the winery is closely tied to Bracken Vineyard, which Shelby co-owns on the western benchlands of the Eola-Amity Hills. The site sits on volcanic soils and is farmed with organic and biodynamic practices. Shelby, a former nuclear-waste lawyer, is the primary winemaker and leads the estate with a stewardship-focused, low-intervention approach, emphasizing minimal cellar manipulation and a close connection to the land.
