Château Branas Grand Poujeaux

France

Château Branas Grand Poujeaux is a boutique estate in Moulis-en-Médoc, on the Grand Poujeaux plateau in Bordeaux. Its vineyards are divided into individually managed parcels and vinified separately to express the character and complexity of each site. The estate has been under the ownership of Justin Onclin since 2002, later joined by Carmen Onclin-Paqueron, with Hindrik Gommer acquiring a major stake in 2020 and Arjen Pen serving as managing shareholder. Certified Haute Valeur Environnementale III since 2018, the domaine follows responsible, sustainable farming. Winemaking emphasizes manual harvesting, double sorting, gravity-fed vatting, gentle extraction, and barrel aging tailored to the vintage, aiming for wines of precision, elegance, finesse, fruit, and power. Michel Rolland, Stéphane Derenoncourt, and Hubert de Boüard have all advised the estate.
