Damijan Podversic is a self-owned grower in Gorizia on Monte Calvario, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, focused on native varieties including Ribolla Gialla, Istrian Malvasia and Friulano. Organic certified, the estate follows natural farming, low-yield practices and lunar-phase timing in both vineyard and cellar. Podversic, trained by Josko Gravner, oversees the work himself, with winemaking carried out exclusively in wooden barrels and vats and guided by a vineyard-first philosophy. His wines are shaped by long maceration, extended aging in wood and bottle, and an emphasis on preserving minerality and vintage character. He is also noted for helping recover abandoned Monte Calvario vineyard land and for his devoted work with Ribolla Gialla.
