Altos Las Hormigas

Argentina

Founded in 1995 by Tuscan winemaker Alberto Antonini and Argentine entrepreneur Antonio Morescalchi, Altos Las Hormigas is a Mendoza estate focused on terroir-driven Malbec from Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley, including Paraje Altamira. The winery works with organic and sustainable farming, with organic certification since 2012 and a Sustainable Winery label from 2022, alongside biodynamic and regenerative practices, biodiversity corridors, and natural pest management. In the cellar, the approach is minimal intervention, using native yeasts and neutral vessels such as concrete or large foudres to preserve freshness and site expression. Antonini, Federico Gambetta, Attilio Pagli and collaborators including Pedro Parra shape a style centered on purity, freshness, and place.
