District 7 is a family-owned estate label of Scheid Family Wines, based in Monterey County, California, where the family has farmed wine grapes since 1972. Its wines are 100% estate-grown from vineyards spanning Monterey’s diverse coastal and inland conditions, and are made to express vibrant fruit, varietal character, and food-friendly structure. Sustainability is central: the vineyards and winery are certified by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance, with practices including drip irrigation, cover crops, integrated pest management, and natural owl-based rodent control. The winery is powered entirely by renewable wind energy, reflecting the family’s grapes-to-glass commitment. The name refers to Monterey County’s designation as California’s seventh grape-growing district.
