Château La Grolet

France

Château La Grolet is a family-owned estate in the Côtes de Bourg, Bordeaux, run by the Hubert family since 1997, with Guillaume and Rachel Hubert representing the next generation. The vineyards are farmed biodynamically and organically, with Demeter certification, no weed killers, organic compost and green manures, and a broader focus on healthy, pesticide-free farming. Winemaking follows a low-intervention approach: native-yeast fermentations in concrete, little or no sulfur, and aging in used barrels with minimal new oak. Planted mainly to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec on gravel-clay slopes, La Grolet is presented as a traditional, nature-led property producing pure, unadorned wines.
