Château L’Hâtre is a family-owned estate in Côtes de Castillon, Bordeaux, run by the Belgian Thienpont family. Its vineyards are farmed organically and planted predominantly to Merlot, with Cabernet Franc completing the blend. Jacques and Anne Thienpont own the property, while Maxime Thienpont oversees production; Bordeaux winemaker Antoine Mariau assumed management in 2025. A new winery was built for the 2022 vintage. The estate focuses on producing L’Hâtre Castillon, offering an accessible expression of the Thienpont family’s Bordeaux winemaking.
