Tenuta Rocca

Italy

Tenuta Rocca is a privately held, family-owned winery in Monforte d’Alba, founded by brothers Bruno and Gianni Rocca in the 1980s and now led by Andrea and Chiara Rocca. Based around the Ornati estate, the family farms vineyards across the Langhe and Alta Langa, including high-elevation sites in Roddino for Metodo Classico production. Organic farming has been adopted across the vineyards, with synthetic products banned and work carried out through organic fertilization, green manure, and mechanical or manual methods. The wines focus on classic Piedmontese varieties—Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Chardonnay, and Nascetta—alongside Barolo from sites including Bussia and Baudana. Traditional winemaking is combined with modern techniques, while the estate emphasizes handcrafted production, respect for ecosystem and terroir, and sustainable initiatives such as photovoltaic energy and biomass heating.
