Producer

Succés Vinícola

Spain

Succés Vinícola is a small organic producer in Catalonia’s Conca de Barberà, founded in 2011 by Mariona Vendrell and Albert Canela after beginning with garage vinifications in 2009. Working family-owned vineyards around Barberà de la Conca and now based in Pira, they farm the vines themselves with respect for the local environment and focus on old vineyards and traditional varieties such as Trepat, Macabeo and Parellada. Their winemaking is firmly minimal intervention: native yeasts, no additives, and since 2019 no added sulfites. They began in a shared winery, moved to their own cellar in 2016, and later acquired Pira’s historic modernist cooperative building, where they are adapting the space for full production. Their Les Perdudes project is dedicated to reviving forgotten local grape varieties.
