Deutz is a historic Champagne house founded in 1838 in Aÿ by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann. Now owned by Louis Roederer, it continues to operate independently within the Roederer Collection. Its vineyards are based in Aÿ and across key Champagne sites including the Côte des Blancs, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Bisseuil and Villers-Marmery, with additional fruit sourced from long-term grower partners. The house describes its approach as precise, elegant and terroir-focused, aiming to express the character of Champagne through carefully judged decisions and consistent quality. Notes also indicate reasoned viticulture and hand-harvesting. Its wines, including Brut Rosé, are associated with freshness, finesse, balance and finely detailed fruit expression.
